Megan Fitzharris, Middle School/Junior High Repertoire and Resources
This is Megan Fitzharris’s sixteenth year teaching middle school choral music. Previously, she taught choral and general music in public schools in Massachusetts for 12 years and at the Maret School in Washington, D.C. for the past 3 years. Ensembles under her direction have received the highest awards given at the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association festivals and the Great East Festival. Her middle school choruses have been selected to perform at the White House, the Massachusetts Music Educators Association All State Conference, and Symphony Hall in Boston as well as other venues. Megan has conducted middle school choral festivals in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She has also led workshops on the music of West Africa and middle school choral techniques. She is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association and is the co-coordinator for the Voices United Honor Chorus. Megan received her Bachelors of Arts in Music from Salisbury University and her Masters of Music Education from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. Outside of music, Megan loves to spend time with her family. She really enjoys reading and being outdoors, including hiking and kayaking. Happy when traveling and exploring new things, she has traveled to multiple countries in Europe, Costa Rica, Morocco, and Ghana.
